Monday, May 21:
Tina Pratt will present a lecture/demo history of tap in the 3rd fl thater of Boys Harbor School, 1 East 104th Street, 4:3--5:45pm - free admission.

Tribute to the Copsetics at Julia Richmond H.S., 67th St. and 2nd Ave. 8pm-$10
The current members of this exclusive club are Charles “Honi” Coles, Charles “Cookie” Cook, Leslie “Bubba” Gains, Louis Simms Carpenter, James “Buster” Brown, Henry “Phace” Roberts and LeRoy Myers.
The finest tap dancers in New York City (possibly the world) tip their hats to the Great Copasetics: Brenda Bufalino and The American Tap Dance Orchestra, Manhattan Tap, Peggy Spina, Jane Goldberg, Dorothy Wasserman, Savion Glover (The Tap Dance id, Tap, Black and Blue), Anita Feldman, Michael “Toes” Tiranof, Sweet Pea (aka Herbin Van Cayseele), Dance Ellington and surprise guests. house Band for the evening will be the David Leonhardt Trio with Major Holley and Keith Copeland.

Friday, May 25 - National Tap Dance Day:
Free outdoor ceremony at City Hall Park at noon. Mayor David Dinkins Proclamation of National Tap Dance Day will be read. Bring our tap shoes and jam with dancers from The American Tap Dance Orchestra, Manhattan Tap and Others.

Copasetic Buster Brown will perform at Boys Harbor School, 1 East 104th St., 4:30-5:30pm - free admission.

Sunday, May 26: At Woodpeckers Tap Dance Center & InterArts Space
170 Mercer St (btwn Prince & Houston in Soho): Children's Tap Program and Performance, 10am-Noon. Performers include students from Woodpeckers, Tap Kids U.S.A., Aristaccato, The LeTang Dancers, and the Harbor Tap Company. $3.00 adults, under 12, free.

Open rehearsal by The American Tap Dance Orchestra from 2-4pm, voluntary donation.

Premier Screening of Essentials of Tap a 6 1/2 minute videotape featuring Charles “Cookie” Cook, Brenda Bufalino and Kevin Ramsey of “Black and Bluefree admission.

Jazz Tap Jam all tappers welcom, amateur and professional... 8-9pm jammin’ 101 for beginners, from 9-Midnight all tappers and spectators. $5 with shoes, $8 without. Live jazz music... musicians welcom to jam as well.

Sunday, May 27 - The Cat Club
10pm tribute to Tap Dancing during the Cat Club’s weekly swing dance night. The Cliff Smalls Band will accompany guest performers to be announced. $10. 76 E. 13th St.
